Joined Giving Tree Capital, LLC in 2020

My Story

Peter joined Giving Tree in 2020 as an Executive Partner because of his belief in the mission and the ability of strategic investment to influence the direction of humanity for the better.  He brings expertise in corporate strategy, investment strategy, and M&A from his role as Director of Corporate Development at Affinivax, Inc leading business development efforts including licensing, investment decisions, development deals and strategies.

Prior to Affinivax, Peter led projects for Boston Consulting Group where he advised clients on strategic direction, M&A, and R&D investment decisions.  This included leading divestiture efforts of the R&D arm of a global bio-pharmaceutical and the subsequent start-up of the newly independent divested NewCo.  His strategy work has also lead to revenue growth of 7-10% per annum for certain biotech clients.  Peter has experience in value sizing and streamlining operations of mid-size supply chains and unlocked over $80M in value for a biotech client.

Peter graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry from Penn State University in 2013 and followed that up with an MBA from the Penn State Smeal College of Business in 2015.  He sits on the Advisory Board for the Dean of Eberly College of Science and assists with strategic direction setting.  What he is most excited about at Giving Tree is the ability to extend a positive legacy and influence technology advancements to improve the lives and well being of people.
